Prime Video has signed a multi-year licensing deal with Maddock Films that gives it exclusive rights to stream eight upcoming movies after they come out in theaters. These movies will come out in theaters between 2025 and 2027. They include “Thama,” a movie from Maddock’s popular horror-comedy universe, as well as “Param Sundari,” which stars Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, and sequels to other franchises like “Shiddat 2” and “Badlapur 2.” The deal also includes “Ikkis,” which was directed by Sriram Raghavan and stars Agastya Nanda. More titles will be announced later.
This partnership builds on the successful work that Prime Video and Maddock Films have done together in the past, which included bringing hit movies like “Stree,” “Stree 2,” and original series like “Jee Karda” to the platform. The goal of the deal is to make Maddock Films’ stories available to more people around the world. Prime Video members will be able to watch these movies in more than 240 countries and territories soon after they come out in theaters.
