Digital-first brand builder Prashant Kohli has stepped into the role of Brand Director at Agilitas, the Indian sportswear and athleisure company aiming to scale its Lotto brand to 1,000 crore in India over the next four years. Kohli announced the move on LinkedIn, likening it to “stepping onto the court after 15 years of coaching from the sidelines,” signalling his shift from agency leadership to in-house brand stewardship.
In this position, Kohli will focus on Lotto, leveraging Agilitas’ manufacturing prowess and retail network to drive growth amid rising demand for premium activewear. The company, backed by ex-Puma India MD Abhishek Ganguly and featuring Virat Kohli as an investor and co-creator for One8, positions itself as a full-stack sportswear player from factories to global retail.
Kohli joins from Leo (formerly Leo Burnett India), where he served as National Head of Digital Excellence, overseeing creative, tech and content for clients like Netflix, LinkedIn, Diageo, Apple India, HUL, Facebook, Disney+ Hotstar and Uber. His agency stints include leadership at Glitch and TBWA\Media Arts Lab, while brand-side roles encompassed CMO at Wiggles (pet care) and Senior Director Marketing at Newton School (edtech).
An engineer-turned-marketeer, Kohli brings cross-sector expertise in consumer tech, FMCG, media, hospitality, alco-bev and lifestyle, with a passion for modern solutions that break traditional media boundaries. His track record in crafting growth narratives aligns perfectly with Agilitas’ ambition to blend Indian manufacturing excellence with global aspirations, especially as Lotto expands via exclusive stores, multi-brand outlets and e-commerce.
Industry peers view Kohli’s hire as a strategic coup for Agilitas, enhancing its marketing firepower at a time when athleisure is exploding and homegrown players challenge international giants. With Kohli driving the brand playbook, Lotto is poised to capture fitness enthusiasts seeking quality, style and value.
