Payoneer names Gaurav Gupta SVP, Platform Site Leader to strengthen its India innovation hub and accelerate platform growth for global SMBs.
Gaurav Gupta has been appointed Senior Vice President (SVP) and Platform Site Leader for Payoneer and has assumed supervision over their innovation hub located in Gurugram, India. This move in leadership is intended to augment Payoneer’s cross-border financial platform designed for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in order to assist the company’s expansion strategy for the region.
Gupta has over 22 years of experience in building mission-critical platforms and leading global engineering teams in Silicon Valley and India. His experience includes roles as a founding engineer of startups that were acquired by Cisco, VMware, and Symantec, as well as leadership roles at ScaleArc, Snapdeal, and the Microsoft Azure Customer Advisory Board. He is a Leader in Platform Reliability, Developer Velocity, and AI-driven Innovation.
At Payoneer, Gupta will be responsible for scaling the platform organization for optimum performance, quality, and security while talent building in India to construct a product roadmap for SMB clientele across the globe. Payoneer’s strategy for the India market is well aligned with the contribution of the MSME sector to the country’s economy, comprising of nearly 30 percent for the GDP and 46 percent for the total exports.
