WPP Media has named Upali Nag Kumar as President of Strategy for South Asia. Upali has a long and successful career in business intelligence, data analytics, and integrated marketing strategy in the retail, FMCG, and media sectors.
Before joining WPP Media, Upali was the Chief Strategy Officer at Wavemaker India, where he was in charge of strategic projects in important markets. Before this, he held senior leadership positions at GroupM, Tata Consumer Products, and the Tata Interactive Group, where he always combined data-driven insights with solutions that put the customer first.
Upali has been a key player in changing business outcomes through technology, media innovation, and analytics throughout his career. His love of structured thinking and telling stories with data has helped many brands improve their performance and make their relationships with customers stronger.
