HT Media Group has named Swapnil Ravindran as its Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) for the South. In this job, he will lead efforts to increase revenue for Hindustan Times, Hindustan Hindi, and Mint in the southern region across both print and digital platforms. Ravindran has worked in media and advertising sales for more than 20 years, holding top positions at companies like The Times of India, InMobi, The Hindu, and Zee Network.
Before he worked for HT Media, he was the Associate Vice President and Response Head at The Times of India in Bangalore. Ravindran is known for his hybrid approach across print, digital, mobile, and OTT platforms. He has a long history of growing businesses, coming up with new ideas, and building strong relationships with clients. He loves telling stories, selling solutions, and showing that they work.
Ravindran started his career at Star India in 1999. Since then, he has worked in a number of roles for some of India’s biggest media and advertising companies. He will work at HT Media to increase sales and strengthen the company’s presence in southern India, which is in line with how people in the region are changing how they consume media and what advertisers want.
