Hyundai Motor India names Sunil Moolchandani as the new head of national sales, bringing over 24 years of automotive industry expertise to drive growth and dealer network expansion.
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) appointed Sunil Moolchandani as the new Function Head – National Sales. This is part of the company’s initiative to strengthen its sales leadership more broadly and consolidate its position in the Indian automotive market. Moolchandani has more than 24 years of experience in the automotive and commercial industries and has held positions in the automotive ecosystem where he developed and executed sales plans, channel management, and market development.
Moolchandani’s experience immediately prior to Hyundai was as Chief Commercial Officer (Central Zone) at Maruti Suzuki India where he led business and transformation initiatives. He has built and scaled dealer networks, managed customer lifecycle processes, and improved operational efficiency through analytics. These capabilities align strongly with Hyundai’s current strategic objectives.
Moolchandani’s will lead the national sales operations at Hyundai. He is tasked with deepening customer relationships, enhancing the brand’s dealer network, and optimizing sales across retail, institutional, and fleet channels. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Pune and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from SCMHRD Pune.
Hyundai Motor India seems to be shifting leadership to continue strong sales and position themselves to the changes in consumer behavior, digital adoption, and growing portfolios in one of the most competitive automotive industries in the world.
