
Samrat Ghosh steps down as Chief Cluster Officer for East, North, and Premium clusters at ZEEL after a significant tenure, effective September 2025.
Mr. Samrat Ghosh has resigned from his position as Chief Cluster Officer for Eastern, Northern, and Premium clusters. Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) Mr. Ghosh has his resignation effective September 15, 2025, and as per regulatory compliance, he has released the information through a filing describing it as ‘resignation’ the same way it has been done for SEBI Listing and Disclosure Requirements.
As per the reasons for the resignation, he stepped down from the position due to ‘personal reasons’ during his career, he was responsible for the leading and implementation of the strategic programming as well as marketing of the Zee content with major regional clusters which are vital for Zee content programs as well as the digital programming. His leadership has considerably enhanced the Zee programming position and content market of the company in some of the more competitive regions of the Indian subcontinent and some bordering countries.
Mr. Ghosh in his resignation letter to the MD and CEO of ZEEL, Mr. Punit Goenka, mentioned how he is thankful for the guidance and the chances that he was offered, that is why he looks to this as a ‘wonderful’ period in his career. He also promised the seamless handover of his duties and responsibilities during the notice period.
ZEEL as a company has also recognized the efforts and the work which Mr. Ghosh has done for the organization and hopes that he achieves the goals that he sets for himself in his career. Currently, they are in the process of choosing a replacement for the position which Mr. Ghosh has recently resigned from. His departure, in the current situation of the company and the position it has in the industry due to rapid digital development and changes in the audience, is definitely a standout alteration to the leadership that ZEEL has.
