Rajesh Sareen resigns from his role as Chief Revenue Officer at Zee Media Corporation, concluding his impactful tenure amid ongoing leadership changes in the media company.
Rajesh Sareen has resigned from his position as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Zee Media Corporation Limited (ZMCL) after eight months since his contract commenced in September 2024. Despite the brief length of his appointment, his career experience in the industry was substantial in media sales, business development, and growth of revenue strategies.
Sareen has over 20 years of experience in the media industry having had leadership roles in Network18, Star India, Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (Times Group), and HT Media Limited. Throughout his career, he orchestrated the business development of media portfolios across the country and the regions, and controlled the revenue management of television and digital assets that spanned across the national and regional media platforms.
Although the reason for his resignation has not been revealed, it comes at a critical moment for Zee Media. As the company continues its efforts in revenue growth and digital transformation, the resignation has been strategically timed since they still have not appointed a successor for the now empty role of CRO.
