Rakesh Jallipally has more than 18 years of experience in fashion, retail, and consumer technology. He is very good at operations, has a clear strategic vision, and is very good with technology. Before joining Pepe Jeans, Rakesh was Vice President at Flipkart, where he successfully launched and grew the Gen Z-focused fashion platform Spoyl and managed the men’s fashion segment. He was a key player in the company’s fashion e-commerce efforts.
Before working at Flipkart, he helped start AZORTE at Reliance Retail, which made him even more well-known as an innovator in India’s fashion scene. He worked at Arvind Fashions for almost ten years, where he was both CEO and COO and led the growth and change of well-known brands like US Polo Assn. (USPA) and Flying Machine. He started his career at Raymond, where he was in charge of retail operations in South India and learnt how to run a business well.
Rakesh has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Marketing & Strategy) from IIM Lucknow, which gives him a strong academic background to go along with his industry knowledge.
