Fireside Ventures has appointed Khatija Lokhandwala as its new Head of Marketing, marking a strategic move to amplify brand innovation and storytelling across its portfolio. With over 16 years of experience leading iconic consumer brands like Zivame, Khatija brings deep expertise in purpose-driven marketing and category creation that will accelerate Fireside’s growth in India’s dynamic investment landscape.
Fireside Ventures, one of the best early-stage investors in new-age consumer brands in India, has entered a new phase with the hiring of Khatija Lokhandwala as its Head of Marketing. Khatija’s joining Fireside shows how dedicated the fund is to finding new ways for its brands to grow and innovate.
Khatija has more than 16 years of experience in marketing and is a rare mix of strategic vision, brand storytelling, and hands-on leadership. At Zivame, where she was in charge of brand marketing for more than five years, she made the company India’s top D2C intimate wear brand. This was her most important job. Zivame broke cultural taboos, gave women the confidence to be themselves, and ran campaigns that connected with real stories and real people. BARC Asia called her “Marketing Meister” for her work.
Khatija has worked at a number of companies, including INBISCO, where she managed candy portfolios, Jyothy Laboratories, where she launched new products, and CavinKare, where she helped well-known brands like Spinz and Fairever gain market share. She is a great fit for Fireside’s founder-first ecosystem because she can write brand stories, start campaigns that set the standard for a category, and connect with India’s diverse consumers.
Khatija is passionate about “The Value of Good,” which is Fireside’s guiding philosophy. She wants to promote meaningful brands and tell stories that go beyond growth to inspire positive change. With an MBA in Marketing, a lot of experience with digital marketing, and a lot of knowledge about building brands across multiple channels, she is ready to improve not only Fireside’s portfolio communications but also the fund’s reputation across India’s business community.
Khatija Lokhandwala will be in charge of marketing and will work closely with founders, investors, and brand teams to shape the story of the next generation of homegrown champions. With her on board, Fireside Ventures will continue its legacy of building brands that are useful and long-lasting in India’s ever-changing consumer market.
