Amritraj Kaur appointed Head of Marketing at Carrefour India ahead of relaunch, with experience from Walmart, LOTS, Future Group, Flipkart Wholesale
Carrefour India has appointed Amritraj Kaur as Head of Marketing, based in Gurugram, ahead of its first store opening in April 2026. The French retail giant returns after a 12-year hiatus, positioning Kaur to shape omnichannel strategies, loyalty programs, and brand positioning.
Kaur brings 17 years of retail and FMCG experience. Her most recent role was Chief Business Officer at BnC Foods. She previously led marketing and CRM at LOTS Wholesale Solutions, handling store launches, loyalty programs, WebEngage automation, and digital campaigns.
Her previous experiences include Walmart/Best Price for pan-India store expansions, Flipkart Wholesale for wholesale marketing, and Future Group managing Big Bazaar and fbb clusters. She also worked at Amira Foods on single-serve basmati innovations and Spencer’s Retail for category growth.
Kaur’s background covers store-led marketing, MarTech implementation, go-to-market strategies, regional consumer behavior analysis, and building zero-attrition teams. She has driven wholesale-to-retail transitions and launched new formats.
Carrefour’s re-entry focuses on large-format stores, private labels, and supply chain efficiency. Kaur’s expertise aligns with targeting Tier II/III cities and building customer loyalty in competitive organized retail.
