Adityan Kayalakal, with over 20 years in marketing and entertainment, joins Pocket FM as VP – Brand to drive growth and brand strategy in India’s leading audio platform.
Pocket FM, India’s leading audio entertainment platform, has appointed Adityan Kayalakal as Vice President – Brand, effective immediately. Kayalakal announced the move on LinkedIn, describing it as a “plot twist” and expressing excitement about returning to the entertainment sector he loves for its storytelling power.
With over two decades of experience, Kayalakal joins from Jupiter, where he served as Vice President – Marketing. His career highlights include stints at Byju’s and Publicis Groupe, alongside work with iconic entertainment brands like NBA, JioHotstar, Movies Now, ESPN, and Transformers/Hasbro. These roles have shaped his expertise in audience engagement, content strategy, and cultural branding.
At Pocket FM, Kayalakal will collaborate closely with Vineet Singh and partners including Vishal, Priyanka, James, Ankit, Malvika, and Rahul to elevate the brand. He thanked founders Rohan Nayak and Lalit for the opportunity, aiming to build on Pocket FM’s success in vernacular audio streaming. The platform, founded in 2018 by IIT Kharagpur alumni Rohan Nayak, Nishanth KS, and Prateek Dixit, has raised significant funding and caters to India’s growing audio content demand.
