Gajesh Yadav has stepped into the role of Lead – Retail Marketing & Visual Merchandising at Bata India, according to a recent LinkedIn update, marking a return to the footwear giant after more than a decade.
Yadav is a retail marketing professional with over 15 years of experience across the marketing and advertising industry, with a strong focus on in-store marketing, visual merchandising (VM), POSM and retail execution. Prior to this elevation, he was Lead – VM Execution at Bata India, responsible for rolling out visual merchandising standards and in-store communication across the brand’s extensive retail network.
His career at Bata spans two phases. He previously worked with Bata India from 2007 to 2012, where he was involved in marketing, POSM production and deployment across India, gaining deep familiarity with the brand’s retail footprint and shopper journey. After his first stint, he moved to Cheil India, a Samsung Group company, and also worked with Reliance Communications, building experience in brand marketing, retail communications and large-scale campaign execution for consumer-facing brands.
In his new role as Lead – Retail Marketing & Visual Merchandising, Yadav will oversee retail marketing strategy, in-store communication, VM guidelines and execution for Bata’s stores across formats and regions. This includes aligning visual merchandising with seasonal campaigns, new product launches and brand initiatives, ensuring a consistent and compelling shopper experience at the point of sale.
The move signals Bata India’s intent to strengthen its in-store marketing and VM capabilities as it looks to enhance store productivity, improve conversion and create a more cohesive brand experience across its growing network of Power, North Star and ZBM formats.
