NODWIN Gaming and Sony LIV have teamed up to stream some matches from the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 in India only. This partnership will make important EWC matches available to Indian fans in both Hindi and English. This will greatly increase the tournament’s reach in the region and make global esports action easier for fans all over the country to watch.
On July 24, Sony LIV started covering chess matches in Hindi. The next day, July 25, they showed BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) matches in Hindi, with the Indian team AxTMG among others. Starting on August 13, more tournaments, like Tekken 8, will be streamed. You can only watch these broadcasts on the Sony LIV app and website.
In addition to live matches, Sony LIV will have weekly shows, behind-the-scenes features, and player interactions. All of these will be carefully chosen to appeal to both hardcore esports fans and more casual viewers. NODWIN Gaming’s larger deal with the Esports World Cup Foundation to handle EWC media rights and distribution in South Asia comes after this partnership.
AxTMG in BGMI and a strong chess lineup led by Grandmasters like Arjun Erigaisi under Team S8UL and Gen.G Esports show that India is officially taking part in the EWC for the first time. The EWC 2025, which will be held in Riyadh, is known for its record prize pool of $70.45 million and the fact that it will have participants from all over the world.
The main goal of the NODWIN – Sony LIV partnership is to make esports viewing more accessible and inclusive in India, so that millions of people can watch them.
