WPP Media has won SharkNinja APAC’s integrated media mandate in India, adding another global brand to its growing client portfolio.
Under the mandate, Wavemaker will lead media strategy, planning, investment, and performance marketing for SharkNinja in the Indian market. The appointment strengthens WPP Media’s role in helping brands connect media planning with measurable business outcomes.
SharkNinja’s decision reflects the increasing importance of integrated media partnerships in a market where digital-first consumer behavior, retail media, and performance accountability all matter at once. For brands entering or scaling in India, the ability to combine audience insight, media efficiency, and conversion-focused execution has become a major advantage.
For WPP Media, the win also reinforces the strength of Wavemaker as a lead agency within the network. The group has continued to pick up business and defend major accounts across categories, showing consistent momentum in India and the wider APAC region.
Mrunmay Mehta, Managing Director and Country Head, India, SharkNinja, said “India represents a significant growth market for SharkNinja APAC, and building meaningful consumer connections will be critical as we scale our presence. We were looking for a partner that could combine strategic thinking with data, technology and execution to deliver connected business outcomes. WPP Media’s integrated capabilities, future-ready approach and proven expertise in driving growth make them the ideal partner to help us accelerate our journey in India.”
Amin Lakhani, President, Client Solutions, WPP Media South Asia, said “Today’s growth is driven by connected experiences, where brand, performance and data work as one. Our role is no longer just to plan media but to architect growth ecosystems that help brands stay relevant, agile and competitive. Shark and Ninja are global market-leading brands with an innovation-first mindset, and we are excited to partner with them to unlock new opportunities for growth through audience intelligence, AI-powered planning, strategic partnerships and integrated media solutions that create lasting business impact.”
The mandate arrives at a time when media agencies are being judged less on reach alone and more on how effectively they can drive growth across the funnel. For SharkNinja, that means a more connected approach to brand building, performance, and commerce in one of APAC’s most important markets.
