
PepsiCo names Steve Schmitt, former Walmart US CFO, as new EVP and CFO to drive growth, cost optimization, and operational excellence starting November 2025.
Steve Schmitt has officially become Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of PepsiCo on November 10, 2025. Schmitt will be taking the role of Jamie Caulfield, retiring in 2026, who has had a remarkable 30 years in service to PepsiCo and will be aiding in the transition until May 2026.
Previously, Schmitt working for Walmart U.S. as Executive Vice President and CFO, overseeing the finances of its multi-billion omnichannel businesses. Digital transformation and cost discipline initiatives were some of the responsibilities as CFO. Previously to Walmart, Schmitt worked for Yum! Brands on the management of their quick-service restaurants and long-term strategic growth in their restaurants. Schmitt also had over a decade of service with UPS.
