Friday, September 4, 2026: Mayank Singh has been elevated to the role of Associate Director, Marketing for KFC at Yum! Brands. This promotion reflects Yum! Brands’ continued trust in his marketing skills, built over more than 13 years in the quick service restaurant industry.
Singh has been part of the KFC India team for a while now. He first joined Yum! Brands in April 2021 as Senior Brand Manager (Innovation) for KFC India. In that role, he led product strategy for the brand, working closely with business goals, category trends, and consumer insights. He worked with the in-house product development team and supplier partners to bring new products to market. Some of the popular launches under his leadership included Peri-Peri Chicken, Snackers, Value Lunch, Chicken Biryani, Chicken Roll, Popcorn Nachos with Doritos, and Popcorn Maggi.
In February 2024, Singh was promoted to Head of Innovation for KFC India. In this position, he continued to focus on new product development and brand innovation for one of India’s largest quick service restaurant chains. His work included consumer research, product positioning, storytelling, and go-to-market planning for new menu items. He also worked on collaboration ideas with other well-known brands to keep KFC’s menu exciting and relevant for Indian consumers.
Before joining KFC, Singh spent nearly seven years at Subway as Senior Marketing Coordinator, from June 2014 to April 2021. During this time, he handled the brand’s annual marketing calendar, media strategy, and campaign management across national and regional markets. He also led social media planning and public relations coordination for the brand. His work at Subway gave him strong experience in both traditional and digital marketing across a highly competitive food category.
Singh’s career also includes time at McCann Erickson, where he worked as Project Manager from February 2011 to October 2013. There, he handled key accounts like DishTV, Subway, and Radical Rice, and worked on several 360-degree marketing campaigns spanning television, print, radio, and digital platforms. He also worked on brand repositioning projects and successfully executed multiple film production projects during this time.
With his new title as Associate Director, Marketing, Singh is expected to take on a bigger leadership role within KFC India’s marketing team. Given his long track record of product innovation and brand-building at both KFC and Subway, this promotion places him in a stronger position to shape KFC’s marketing direction as the brand continues to compete in India’s fast-growing quick service restaurant market.
