Punjab National Bank appoints cricketer Harmanpreet Kaur as its first female brand ambassador, promoting financial literacy and empowerment post India’s Women’s ODI World Cup win.
Punjab National Bank (PNB), a leading public sector bank in India, has named Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur as its first-ever female brand ambassador. The announcement, made on November 30, 2025, at PNB’s Corporate Office under the theme ‘Banking On Champions’, marks a milestone in the bank’s brand transformation journey.
The event, attended by Secretary (Financial Services) M. Nagaraju and PNB MD & CEO Ashok Chandra, featured Kaur unveiling four key products: PNB RuPay Metal Credit Card – Luxura, PNB One 2.0 mobile banking app, Digi Surya Ghar for rooftop solar financing, and PNB’s onboarding to the International Bullion Exchange (IIBX). She received a framed PNB jersey and custom-engraved bat.
Kaur, who opened her first bank account at PNB Moga at age 18, expressed honor in the role, aligning it with PNB’s focus on empowering women and youth. Ashok Chandra highlighted her leadership mirroring PNB values, while M. Nagaraju praised her World Cup triumph and PNB’s MSME efforts.
