Force Motors has named Ravi Agrawal as its new General Manager and Head of Marketing, based at the company’s head office in Akurdi, Pune. The appointment signals the automaker’s intent to strengthen brand positioning and build a more focused marketing approach as competition intensifies across commercial and passenger mobility segments.
Agrawal brings more than 25 years of experience across automotive, commercial vehicle and allied industries. His background spans three-wheelers, mini-trucks, pickups, heavy trucks and construction equipment, giving him a wide view of India’s mobility market and the different customer groups that shape it. At Mahindra & Mahindra, he most recently led marketing, digitisation and telematics for the commercial vehicles business unit, where he worked on brand-building, digital transformation and connected mobility initiatives. That combination of traditional brand management and new-age digital capability makes him a strong fit for Force Motors’ evolving priorities.
The hire comes at a time when auto brands need to do more than advertise products; they need to communicate trust, reliability and innovation across digital and dealer-led touchpoints. For Force Motors, which has long been known for its presence in the commercial vehicle and utility vehicle space, a more structured marketing head could help the company sharpen its identity and connect better with both fleet buyers and retail customers. Agrawal’s experience in telematics is especially relevant as connected vehicle features become a larger part of the buying conversation.
His appointment also underlines how automotive companies are increasingly treating marketing leadership as a strategic growth function rather than just a communication role. With consumers expecting stronger digital engagement and clearer brand narratives, Force Motors is looking to align marketing more closely with business goals. Agrawal’s track record suggests the company wants a leader who can balance conventional automotive marketing with the demands of modern mobility messaging.
