Shreyas Kasaralkar has joined Zee Media Corporation Ltd as Assistant Vice President (AVP) – Marketing and Regional Head. The news was reported on September 5, 2026, marking his return to the company where he once worked earlier in his career. He will now lead brand strategy for three important channels: Zee Business, Zee 24 Taas (Marathi), and Zee 24 Kalak (Gujarati). This move is being seen as a homecoming for Kasaralkar, who first worked with Zee 24 Taas between 2012 and 2015 as a senior manager in marketing.
Kasaralkar brings over two decades of experience in marketing across media, entertainment, and regional content. Before rejoining Zee Media, he worked with Bennett Coleman & Co (The Times Group) from April 2023 to May 2025 as General Manager and Head of Brand Marketing for IPs, new products, and live events. There, he helped turn a ₹10 crore operating loss into a ₹3 crore surplus. He also improved profitability by 230% for key properties like Times Fresh Face and Times Creators Awards.
Before that, he spent more than six years at Red FM (2016–2022) as Head of Marketing. During this time, he built and monetized over 40 experiential IPs and drove 23% revenue growth across four markets. He also helped launch Red FM in new cities like Surat, Nanded, and Dhule. His earlier roles include working as Brand Head at ABP Majha, where he helped the channel stay number one while launching branded IPs that gave a 12% revenue boost.
During his first stint at Zee Media, he helped Zee 24 Taas move from third to second position. He achieved this through live events and city-wise activations that increased reach by 24%. He has also worked with Disney Star, where he scaled STAR Pravah to become the top Marathi channel. At Mindshare India, he managed media budgets over ₹300 crore for Hindustan Unilever’s major brands.
His new role comes at a time when regional news is highly competitive. Zee Media wants to strengthen its position in business and regional language news. Kasaralkar’s experience across radio, print, TV, and digital makes him a strong fit for this challenge. His focus on building branded IPs and turning audience attention into revenue is expected to help Zee Media grow in a tough market.
