
Dhruv Warrior is a seasoned creative professional with over 17 years of rich and diverse experience in the advertising and marketing industry. Known for his innovative mindset and culturally-driven storytelling, Dhruv has consistently delivered impactful campaigns that span digital, experiential, and traditional media. His work is rooted in a deep understanding of both global sensibilities and local nuances, making him one of the most versatile creative minds in the industry today.
Dhruv began his career at JWT Bangalore in 2007, starting in account management before transitioning into the creative department. Over nearly seven years, he worked on prominent campaigns across categories, including the award-winning Nike #BleedBlue movement—one of the campaigns that helped establish his reputation as a creative force. He later moved to the Middle East, where he spent over five years at VMLY&R Dubai as an Associate Creative Director. During his tenure, the agency earned significant recognition including being ranked the 3rd best agency globally for craft by Cannes in 2018, and was named MENA Agency of the Decade by the Cannes Lions Festival in 2020.
Upon returning to India, Dhruv took on the role of National Creative Director at FoxyMoron, a full-service digital-first marketing agency. There, he led breakthrough work for a wide range of brands across tech, pharma, fashion, food and retail, blending bold creative thinking with strategic insight. At FoxyMoron, he became known for crafting purpose-led, culturally resonant campaigns with a strong digital backbone.
Dhruv’s creative excellence has been widely acknowledged across leading industry platforms. He has won multiple Cannes Lions, was invited to serve on the jury for Cannes Lions in 2019, and was featured in the Big Won Report as one of the world’s top 100 copywriters in 2015. His campaign, “Nike: Make Every Yard Count,” was ranked the 6th most awarded TV and film campaign globally by the same report. He was also named one of India’s top 30 creatives under 30 in 2014.
In July 2025, Dhruv was appointed Executive Creative Director at VML India, where he is based out of the Bangalore office. Reporting to Kalpesh Patankar, Chief Creative Officer of VML India, Dhruv is tasked with elevating the agency’s creative output and accelerating its vision of blending creativity, strategy, technology, and innovation. He works alongside the leadership team including CEO Babita Baruah and Sachin Dhir, focusing on delivering meaningful work that drives real-world impact for clients.
