WPP Media has named Sairam Ranganathan as the new Head of Commerce for its operations in India. This is a big step for the group as it focusses on the country’s fast-growing digital and e-commerce market. WPP Media made this leadership change public on its official LinkedIn page. Sairam Ranganathan has a lot of experience in digital and commerce that will help him in this important job. Before this job, he was the Chief Digital Officer at Wavemaker and Wavemaker NorthStar from October 2023 to July 2025. In that role, he was in charge of pushing digital innovation and integrated commerce solutions. Before that, he was the National Head of Digital Services at Wavemaker India, where he led projects that grew the agency’s digital presence with a wide range of clients.
Ranganathan has a lot of experience, including as Vice President and Head of Client Leadership at Mindshare Fulcrum, where he was in charge of important client relationships and growing strategic accounts. He has also been the General Manager for the Vodafone account at Wavemaker India and the Head of Digital (Paid, Owned, and Earned Media) – West. In these roles, he led big campaigns for clients in the telecom, FMCG, BFSI, e-commerce, and technology sectors. This helped him become an expert in digital-first strategy, client service, and media innovation.
