Shashikant Someshwar elevated to CEO of Weber Shandwick India, leading growth and innovation across technology, healthcare, consumer, and public affairs sectors.
Weber Shandwick has appointed Shashikant Someshwar as Chief Executive Officer for its India operations, effective October 1, 2025. Given the rapid pace of development within the Asia Pacific region, the appointed CEO for the India operations underscores the importance of the India market to the Weber Shandwick organization. Weber Shandwick India has grown to over 150 employees, with operations in Mumbai, Gurgaon, and Bengaluru, and serves clients in the technology, healthcare, consumer, and public affairs sectors.
Within the agency, Someshwar has successfully spearheaded both the corporate and consumer practices, and in the early part of this year, served as the interim Managing Director. Someshwar has made meaningful contributions in driving growth, providing clients with strategic advice, and ensuring teams were deployed to meet changes in the market. While this promotion is a personal achievement for Someshwar, it also reflects the work of the entire agency at a time when the communications industry in India is undergoing tremendous change.
