
Patrik Antoni has been named the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IKEA India, the largest Swedish home goods store, starting in August 2025. The goal of this change in leadership is to make IKEA’s management structure even stronger and help the company achieve its ambitious growth goals in India.
Patrik Antoni will be in charge of all retail operations and shared functions for all Ingka Group companies that do business in India. He will work with the country retail manager and chief sustainability officer (CSO) in a new leadership structure that puts more emphasis on sustainability and integrated management.
Antoni has been a leader at IKEA for more than 20 years in many different markets around the world. He used to be the Deputy CEO of IKEA India, where he was a key player in opening the company’s first store in Hyderabad. After working in India, he became the General Manager of Ingka in Russia in 2018, where he oversaw IKEA and MEGA shopping malls.
Antoni is expected to lead a unified “One IKEA India” retail strategy that improves collaboration between key functions and speeds up growth. He has a lot of experience in the market and a deep understanding of IKEA’s value chain.
