Former Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha has been appointed CEO of Swiggy’s quick commerce arm Instamart, marking a significant leadership change in India’s hyper-competitive quick commerce space. She will formally take charge from August 3, 2026, replacing Amitesh Kumar Jha, who has stepped down to pursue opportunities outside the company.economictimes.
Swiggy’s Managing Director and Group CEO Sriharsha Majety described Sinha as one of India’s most accomplished consumer internet leaders, highlighting her vision, customer obsession and operational rigour as key strengths she brings to Instamart. The appointment comes as Swiggy looks to deepen Instamart’s push toward profitable growth while defending its position against rival quick commerce platforms.
Sinha joins Instamart after leading Myntra, where she oversaw the fashion etailer’s market-share gains and helped it achieve EBITDA profitability in 2024 within the Flipkart Group. Before Myntra, she held senior roles at Flipkart, Britannia and Hindustan Unilever, giving her more than two decades of experience across e-commerce, fashion and FMCG.
Under her leadership, Instamart is expected to sharpen its differentiated assortment strategy, strengthen customer experience and focus more intensely on sustainable unit economics. With quick commerce shifting from pure growth to profitability, Sinha’s mix of brand-building, product thinking and operational discipline will be central to shaping Instamart’s next chapter.
