Samsung Ads promotes Nishit Kanchan to GM & Head of Revenue India, focusing on CTV growth, ACR tech and full P&L in digital ad expansion.
Samsung Ads India has promoted Nishit Kanchan to General Manager and Head of Revenue, a key leadership move to accelerate growth in the connected TV (CTV) advertising space. In this expanded role, Kanchan oversees the full profit and loss (P&L) operations, including revenue strategies, sales teams, marketing efforts, product development and technology integrations across the country. The promotion comes after nearly four and a half years with the company, where he previously built the national sales structure and established CTV as a vital channel for brand campaigns.
Kanchan joined Samsung Ads in early 2022 as Chief Manager, playing a central role in launching proprietary Automatic Content Recognition (ACR) technology tailored for the Indian market. His efforts have positioned Samsung Ads at the forefront of Smart TV ad innovations, leveraging data-driven targeting to help brands reach viewers during peak moments like IPL seasons. Before Samsung, he held senior positions at Times Internet as Region Head (West) for Colombia Audience Network, ZigWheels, Business Standard and The Times of India, gaining deep expertise in digital ads, media planning, audience insights and business expansion.
An Amity Business School alumnus, Kanchan has earned industry nods including e4m 40 Under 40 Revenue Leader in 2026 and Agency Reporter’s 30 Under 30 in 2024 for his contributions to adtech evolution. His priorities now centre on sustainable revenue scaling, team excellence and advancing CTV/OTT solutions with features like Vision AI and native integrations amid India’s booming streaming landscape. This step strengthens Samsung Ads’ competitive edge against rivals in a market projected to grow rapidly through smart screens and personalised ads.
