Supertails has put pets at the centre of its Diwali campaign with ‘No Bang Diwali’, a new film that highlights how firecracker noise affects animals during the festival. The campaign has been released on Instagram under the hashtag #NoBangDiwali.
Instead of showing pets hiding from loud sounds, the film reverses the situation. It places a human family under a table, where they eat mithai, play games, dress up and celebrate Diwali as if the setting were normal.
The unusual setup begins as comedy but gradually encourages viewers to think about why pets often hide under beds, tables and sofas during Diwali. The campaign uses this reversal to show the distress that fireworks and loud celebrations can cause animals at home.
Unlike many animal welfare campaigns that use emotional storytelling, Supertails uses humour and absurdity to make its point. The brand positions comedy as a way to earn attention and encourage reflection without relying on a solemn tone.
Krutika Lal, Head of Brand Marketing at Supertails, said As a brand, we are always looking for ways to make pet parents feel understood, and that means paying attention to the moments they notice but rarely talk about. Diwali is one of them. We took a deliberately different route because we believe purpose-led work does not have to be solemn to be taken seriously. Humour earns attention first, and it is often what makes a message stay with people. If the film prompts even a few households to think about how the festival feels for their pets, it will have served its purpose.
The campaign encourages audiences, including people who do not own pets, to consider the impact of festive noise on animals. It also asks families to rethink how they celebrate Diwali.
Supertails continues to build conversations around pet parenting through culturally relevant storytelling. The campaign reinforces the brand’s position as a digital-first pet care platform focused on pet wellbeing, veterinary support and everyday pet care. With ‘No Bang Diwali’, Supertails turns a familiar festive sight into a simple message: celebrations feel better when pets feel safe, calm and included.
