V-Guard Industries has appointed Managing Director Mithun K. Chittilappilly as Chairperson and Managing Director, marking a significant leadership transition for the consumer durables and electrical goods maker.
Chittilappilly’s association with V-Guard spans two decades. He joined the company in 2006 as Executive Director and was elevated to Managing Director in April 2012. During his tenure, he played a central role in transforming V-Guard from a South India-centric voltage stabilizer manufacturer into a diversified, pan-India fast-moving electrical goods (FMEG) brand.
Under his leadership, V-Guard’s turnover grew from Rs 229 crore in 2006 to Rs 5,966 crore in FY26. He spearheaded strategic initiatives across supply chain modernization, digital transformation, brand identity refreshes and manufacturing expansion. He also led inorganic growth, including the acquisition of Sunflame Enterprises.
Before joining V-Guard, Chittilappilly worked with global consulting and technology firms, including Deloitte and Hewlett-Packard. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
In his elevated role, Chittilappilly will continue to steer V-Guard’s long-term business strategy, product innovation, and corporate governance. His elevation ensures continuity in execution as the Kochi-headquartered company expands its footprint across smart home appliances, kitchen solutions, and electrical consumer goods nationwide.
