Ex-Reckitt executive Ruchika Sharma appointed Head of Consumer Marketing at Danone, bringing 13 years of experience in healthcare and brand marketing.
Ruchika Sharma will start her new role as the Head of Consumer Marketing for Danone. Sharma has plenty of expertise, specifically spanning over 13 years in the healthcare, OTC, and consumer brand marketing fields. Some of her positions include boxes in leadership departments for Reckitt, Abbott, Mars, 3M India, and Whirpool.
She worked for Reckitt for 5 years as a Senior Global Brand Manager and completely understood the initiatives regarding the brand and focused marketing strategies. While at Abbott, for example, the Digene and Brufen OTC brands grew in direct relation to the 360-degree campaigns. This was possible because she strategically promoted and managed them.
She has also worked as a Mars and Whirlpool India brand strategist and consumer engagement manager, where she pioneered category marketing plans and deployed them through direct sales. Sharma has also worked and managed sales, product strategy, and was an ex 3M India employee.
Knowing that Sharma has worked under various categories and markets, the expectations of her Danone role, specifically marketing the innovations of different brands, should not be an issue for her. Sharma will also focus on furthering the consumer health and wellness products, which Danone has been known for.
