PepsiCo has appointed Tanvi Swami as marketing director for its flagship beverage brands Pepsi, 7UP and Mirinda in India, adding focused leadership over some of the company’s most visible soft drink franchises. In her new role, Swami will drive brand strategy, consumer communication and innovation across the cola and flavours portfolio.
The appointment comes as carbonated soft drinks face both heightened competition and evolving consumer expectations around taste, experience and occasions of consumption. Pepsi, 7UP and Mirinda sit at the core of PepsiCo’s beverages business, and unified leadership is expected to help sharpen positioning and ensure more cohesive campaigns across cola and flavours.
As marketing director, Swami will work closely with regional beverage leadership to translate global brand platforms into locally relevant storytelling, activations and media plans. This includes seasonal campaigns, youth-focused engagement, and integrated work spanning television, digital, on-ground experiences and modern trade visibility.
Her remit will also cover innovation and portfolio planning, areas that have become critical as brands experiment with new flavours, limited editions and differentiated formats to keep consumers excited and to grow share. With PepsiCo’s beverage marketing leaders already managing a wide range of brands from Pepsi and Mountain Dew to Mirinda and 7UP, Swami’s role adds deeper focus on the three labels that anchor the carbonated range.
