LOTTE India introduces Subak and Shark, India’s first Korean-style slush ice candies featuring bold flavours, playful shapes, and a vibrant K-culture campaign to delight consumers nationwide.
LOTTE India is expanding its frozen dessert offerings with Korean-inspired ice candies, Subak and Shark, bringing a new wave of K-culture to Indian consumers. After the success of the brand’s four-layered Korean ice cream bar, Subak and Shark were designed with playful creativity and bold, innovative flavors for the Indian market.
In Korean, Subak means watermelon, and so the watermelon strawberry slice-shaped treat features “seeds” of chocolate capped peanuts for added crunch. While Shark, a spin on the pop culture staple, has a shark shaped body and a dual flavour of strawberry and orange, providing a multisensory, and fun experience to eat. Both ice candies are designed to be visually and sensorially delightful with bold colours and refreshing textures.
Available in 75 ml packs, Subak and Shark are priced at an affordable ₹20, and are available in more than 50,000 stores across the country. QR commerce, modern retail, and Havmor exclusive ice cream parlours also stock the ice candies. The campaign ‘Refreshingly K-Cool’ uniquely fuses K-Pop with anime for a vibrant and energetic visual experience, and has a predominant presence in store and on the interwebs.
Through this launch, LOTTE reaffirms its commitment to building emotional relationships and extending category leadership, establishing K-snacking as more than just a passing fad in India.
