Reliance Jio has appointed Kinshuk Gupta as Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications. Gupta joins Jio from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where he served as Chief Communications Officer. In his new role, he will lead strategic corporate messaging and brand communications for the telecom giant. The move comes as Jio prepares for a major phase of growth and global expansion.
Gupta will oversee Jio’s corporate communications and brand messaging strategy. He will work closely with business leadership to shape how the company communicates with investors, regulators, media and the public. His responsibilities will include corporate narratives, reputation management and strategic messaging across complex business units. He will also support communication around new products, partnerships and market initiatives.
Before joining Jio, Gupta was Chief Communications Officer at TCS. He joined the IT services major in late 2025 and exited around 10 months later. At TCS, he led the company’s global communications function. He worked on brand reputation, corporate storytelling and strategic messaging for one of India’s largest technology firms. His experience spans corporate communications, public relations and leadership communication across large organisations.
Gupta’s appointment comes at an important time for Reliance Jio. The company recently marked 10 years since its launch in India. Over the past decade, it has added nearly 500 million net subscribers. It has also transformed the Indian telecom market with affordable data and digital services. Now, Jio is looking beyond India. Chairman Akash Ambani has spoken about the company’s vision for global expansion and technology leadership.
