Havells India has appointed Ashish Parikh as President and Strategic Business Unit Head, strengthening its senior leadership team as the company focuses on premiumisation, category expansion, and consumer-led innovation.
The appointment brings an experienced consumer-business leader to Havells, with responsibilities spanning business growth, category development, operational performance, sales, and strategic execution. In his new role, Parikh is expected to support the company’s expansion plans while improving coordination across functions such as marketing, supply chain, go-to-market strategy, and omnichannel development.
Parikh joins Havells after spending four years at Diageo India, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the North and East regions. During his tenure, he was responsible for leading large and diverse businesses, driving growth, improving margins, supporting innovation, and managing commercial transformation.
His professional experience extends across consumer goods, beverages, retail, e-commerce, healthcare, personal care, and household products. Before Diageo, Parikh spent more than a decade at Reckitt, where his last position was Global Omnichannel and Category Development Director. He has also held senior roles at Marico, PepsiCo India, and ITC Agrotech.
With more than 25 years of experience, Parikh brings expertise in profit-and-loss management, business transformation, sales leadership, category strategy, operations, supply-chain planning, and omnichannel growth. This background is expected to help Havells strengthen its ability to respond to changing consumer preferences and build scale across its product categories.
Havells operates across consumer electrical categories such as lighting, fans, home appliances, cables, wires, and switchgear. The company has been expanding its premium product portfolio and investing in design, technology, and consumer-focused innovation.
Parikh’s appointment comes as consumer electrical brands face increasing competition from both established companies and digital-first challengers. His experience in managing complex businesses and driving commercial transformation could support Havells’ efforts to improve execution, strengthen category leadership, and create new growth opportunities across domestic and international markets.
