Pulse Candy, the confectionery brand from DS Group, has partnered with Spider-Man: Brand New Day for a nationwide 360-degree consumer campaign. The collaboration brings together one of India’s popular candy brands and one of the world’s most recognisable superheroes through limited-edition packaging, digital content, outdoor advertising, cinema promotions, retail visibility, and social media engagement.
The campaign is built around the idea ‘Even Spider-Man Cannot Resist Pulse’, using the superhero’s familiar web-slinging abilities to highlight the candy’s distinctive flavour and irresistible appeal. In the campaign film, Spider-Man uses his web to reach for a Pulse candy, creating a playful connection between the character’s signature action and the product’s taste proposition.
Limited-edition co-branded packs form the centrepiece of the initiative. Featuring Spider-Man-themed designs, the packs extend the partnership from advertising into the retail environment and give consumers a tangible part of the movie collaboration to take home. The packaging also turns the product into a collectible marketing asset while helping the brand stand out on crowded retail shelves.
The campaign’s outdoor execution takes the superhero concept into public spaces. In one of the key installations, Spider-Man appears to stretch across adjoining billboards to grab a Pulse candy, creating the illusion of movement across multiple displays. The format is designed to attract attention in high-footfall locations and blur the line between conventional advertising and entertainment.
The collaboration is running across digital platforms, cinemas, retail outlets, outdoor sites, and social media. It began during the last week of July and is scheduled to continue until August 30, giving the brand several weeks to build excitement around the film and sustain consumer engagement.
For Pulse Candy, the partnership represents an entertainment-led approach to brand building. By connecting its playful product personality with a globally recognised character, the campaign aims to reach young consumers, families, movie audiences, and pop-culture fans through multiple contact points.
The initiative also demonstrates how licensing partnerships can go beyond logo placement. Through a single creative idea, Pulse has integrated packaging, content, outdoor storytelling, retail presence, and consumer engagement into one unified campaign designed to make the brand part of the Spider-Man conversation.
