Dentsu, GeekOut, and KODANSHA Creators’ Lab collaborate to launch ROBMIX, a new label focused on discovering Roblox creators, developing innovative IP, and expanding media mixes including manga and merchandise.
Dentsu Group Inc. has teamed up with GeekOut Inc. and KODANSHA Creators’ Lab to create ROBMIX, a new label that aims to support the next generation of creators on the immersive social platform Roblox and encourage the creation of new intellectual property and the growth of media.
Roblox has about 100 million daily active users all over the world. It is a one-of-a-kind place where creators can make games, virtual spaces, and experiences without any restrictions. ROBMIX wants to use this creative potential by bringing together the best parts of Dentsu’s large network and business knowledge, GeekOut’s ability to create immersive media, and KODANSHA’s ability to come up with new content and publish it.
The label will focus on four main projects:
- New IP Development: Making new manga, characters, worlds, and other content just for Roblox.
- Existing IP Deployment: Adding and improving existing IPs on the Roblox platform to make new interactive experiences.
- Creator Support: Giving game creators from other platforms the chance to make and port content to Roblox.
- Media Mix Expansion: Taking Roblox-based IP outside of the platform and into other media types, like manga adaptations, picture books, and other types of merchandise.
This partnership is part of Dentsu’s larger “House of Creators” project, which started last year to help the next generation of content creators on social media. The partners want to shape the future of entertainment with ROBMIX by letting Japanese IP and new Roblox creators work together to make things. This will encourage new ideas at the crossroads of technology and creativity.
ROBMIX is at the forefront of this change, providing a complete ecosystem that supports creators, brands, and audiences alike. The gaming and immersive media market is expected to grow to more than $11.5 billion in U.S. in-game ad revenue by 2028.
With ROBMIX, Dentsu, GeekOut, and KODANSHA will create a new generation of media that combines gaming, manga, and merchandise into a single, exciting experience that will get people around the world excited.
