
Leenata Kasawlekar has joined Kotak Mahindra Bank as Deputy Vice President – Corporate Communications, marking her entry into the BFSI sector.
Kasawlekar brings over a decade of experience across digital marketing, corporate storytelling, brand strategy, and media relations. Most recently, she served as General Manager – Digital Marketing & Communications at Commtel Networks, where she led digital marketing and communications initiatives for the technology firm.
Prior to Commtel Networks, Kasawlekar spent significant tenure at Logicserve Digital, progressing through multiple roles including Group Head – PR, Senior Account Manager – PR, and Account Manager – PR. Her earlier experience spans diverse sectors: she worked as Guest Blogger at Hoppingo, Senior Account Executive at Communicate India, Relations Associate at Moe’s Art Pvt. Ltd., and Health Relationship Manager at Cigna TTK Health Insurance Company Limited.
Kasawlekar has also been associated with The Max Foundation, where she held roles including Max Station and served as a volunteer, demonstrating her commitment to social impact alongside her corporate career.
In her new role at Kotak Mahindra Bank, Kasawlekar joins the Group Corporate Communications team, which oversees external and internal communications for the bank. The team, led by Prasanna Kotian (Head – Group Corporate Communication), manages media relations, corporate reputation, and strategic communications for one of India’s largest private sector banks.
Her appointment comes at a time when Kotak Mahindra Bank continues to strengthen its corporate communications function, with multiple Deputy Vice Presidents including Rohit B Panchal and Jimit Harde already in the team. Kasawlekar’s diverse background across technology, healthcare, and digital marketing is expected to bring fresh perspectives to the bank’s communications strategy.
