boAt has elevated Vedansh Kumar to Chief Marketing Officer, marking a major leadership move inside one of India’s most visible consumer tech brands. Kumar had previously been serving as Head of Brand Marketing at boAt since August 2023, where he helped shape the company’s brand voice across campaigns, product storytelling and consumer engagement.
The promotion recognises Kumar’s broader creative background as much as his work at boAt. Before joining the wearable and audio brand, he was Creative Lead at Zomato, and earlier worked across agencies such as Dentsu Impact, Humour Me and MullenLowe Lintas. That mix of agency and brand-side experience has made him a strong fit for a company that has built its identity on sharp, youth-first marketing and fast-moving digital storytelling.
At boAt, Kumar has already been associated with campaigns that moved beyond simple discount-led communication and leaned into omnichannel strategy, personalization, gamification and more emotional brand narratives. His elevation to CMO suggests the company wants to deepen that approach and keep building consumer loyalty in a crowded electronics and lifestyle market.
The appointment also reflects boAt’s continued investment in marketing as a key business lever. In a category where product features can be easily matched by competitors, brand distinction, creator-led communication and cultural relevance remain central to growth. Kumar’s new role will likely involve tightening the connection between product, brand and audience at a time when consumer tech brands are fighting harder for attention.
For boAt, the move signals continuity with a marketer already familiar with the brand’s tone and audience, while giving Kumar a larger mandate to shape its next phase of growth.
