Volkswagen has launched a new campaign for its commercial vehicle range, presenting the ID. Buzz and Multivan as vehicles designed to accommodate more than passengers and luggage. Built around the thought ‘Fit More Life In Your Life’, the campaign focuses on how additional space can enable people to make room for the experiences that matter.
Conceptualised by Bernbach, the campaign moves away from a conventional product-led approach and highlights the role of the van in everyday life. The two hero films show families travelling together, people carrying sports equipment, beach outings and camping trips. Each situation demonstrates how changing plans can be accommodated when a vehicle offers the right combination of space and flexibility.
The campaign builds on Volkswagen’s ‘Let’s go for a drive’ platform, introduced in 2024, and follows last year’s ‘Why the Long Car’ campaign. The latest work continues the brand’s focus on human stories while placing the People Movers range at the centre of the communication.
The ID. Buzz is an all-electric model inspired by Volkswagen’s iconic Kombi van. It features sliding doors and flexible seating, combining a distinctive design with practical functionality. The Multivan offers seating for up to eight people and is positioned as a vehicle that can adapt to different travel requirements.
Steve Hey, Creative Director at Bernbach, said, “Most people upsize to a People Mover to give them more space. And these vehicles have a boatload of it. But the real benefit of having more space is what you can do with it and, of course, it doesn’t hurt when all that space comes wrapped in the unmistakable shape of an iconic Volkswagen van,”
Michelle Rowney, Head of Marketing and Product for Commercial Vehicles at Volkswagen, said, “Our customers are looking for a vehicle that can adapt to whatever life throws at them. This campaign captures the versatility of the Volkswagen Van range in a way that feels human, relatable and inspiring. It’s about enabling people to say ‘yes’ to more of what matters.”
With this campaign, Volkswagen turns the practical advantage of a larger vehicle into a broader lifestyle proposition: more room for people, plans, spontaneity and life itself.
