Spotify has appointed Aditi Shorewal as its Head of PR and Communications for India, a move that strengthens the company’s leadership in this crucial market. With India’s audio streaming sector among the fastest-growing globally, Shorewal’s experience is set to play an important role. Before joining Spotify, she led communications for Tinder in India and Korea, developing strategies tailored to both regions. Shorewal brings over 15 years of diverse experience in corporate communications, media relations, content marketing, journalism, and digital strategy.
Prior to her time at Tinder, she served as the Head of Communications and Content Marketing at Eventbrite. Her career also includes three years at X (formerly Twitter), where she concentrated on communications and social media marketing. Earlier roles saw her working with NDTV. Times Internet, and The Times of India Group each position building her expertise in digital product development and social media initiatives.
In a recent LinkedIn post, Shorewal shared her enthusiasm about working closely with creators and partners to craft stories that resonate with audiences. As Spotify intensifies its focus on podcasts and regional music while promoting creator-led content to increase user engagement, Shorewal’s broad background suggests she’ll be key in shaping Spotify’s communication strategies moving forward. Her insights could enhance how Spotify builds narratives and manages stakeholder relationships as it deepens its presence in India’s dynamic market.
