Salil Gandhi has joined Nykaa as Deputy General Manager – Marketing. He will now lead brand campaigns, performance marketing and growth initiatives for India’s leading beauty and fashion platform. His role covers both online and offline channels. He will work closely with product, category and retail teams to drive customer acquisition, retention and brand love.
Nykaa, run by FSN E-Commerce Ventures, is one of the largest online beauty and fashion retailers in India. In the June 2026 quarter, the company reported net sales of ₹2,782 crore. This was up 29.1 per cent compared to the same period last year. For the full FY26, Nykaa posted revenue of over ₹10,000 crore. EBITDA stood at ₹752 crore, with margins expanding to 7.5 per cent. The company has set big targets for FY30. It wants to grow GMV by 2.5 to 3 times and EBITDA by 4 to 5 times from current levels.
As Deputy General Manager – Marketing, Gandhi is expected to own key parts of Nykaa’s demand engine. This includes planning and executing large-scale campaigns across digital, social and offline media. He will likely oversee performance marketing budgets on platforms like Google, Meta and YouTube. A big part of his job will be to link marketing spend to clear business outcomes. These could include new customer adds, repeat purchases, average order value and lifetime value.
Nykaa’s marketing mix has become more complex over time. The company now runs multiple verticals. These include Nykaa Beauty, Nykaa Fashion, Nykaa Pro and quick commerce services like Nykaa Now. It also has a growing portfolio of house brands such as Dot&Key, Kay Beauty and Nykaa Cosmetics. Each vertical and brand needs a tailored strategy. Gandhi’s role will be to ensure that campaigns are coherent, data-driven and aligned with overall growth goals.
