
Global beauty major L’Oréal has appointed Priyanka Bhargav as General Manager and Head of Consumer and Market Insights (CMI) for India. The appointment marks a key addition to the company’s executive leadership team. In her new role, Bhargav will lead the consumer intelligence function across L’Oréal’s diversified portfolio in the Indian market.
Bhargav brings around two decades of rich experience across consumer research, market intelligence, UX strategy, and brand marketing. Before joining L’Oréal, she spent over five years at Flipkart in senior leadership capacities. Most recently, she served as Group Senior Director, Head of Consumer Intelligence, UX, Product, and Brand Strategy. During her tenure at Flipkart, she played a vital role in decoding consumer mindsets, tracking Gen Z shopping behavior, and driving growth across fashion and beauty categories.
Her earlier professional journey spans prominent technology, e-commerce, media, and market research organizations. She worked as Director of Customer & Market Research (APAC) at InMobi and held senior consumer research roles at Myntra. She also gained foundational experience in insights and research at Nielsen, IMRB International, Tata Teleservices, and Jet Airways. Bhargav holds an MBA in Marketing and Corporate Communications from the International Management Institute (IMI) and a BSc (Hons) in Physics from Delhi University.
At L’Oréal India, Bhargav will focus on translating deep consumer data and market shifts into actionable growth strategies for the beauty giant. Her mandate covers consumer segmentation, trend forecasting, shopper behavior analysis, and product intelligence. This will help the company strengthen its product innovation and brand positioning across luxury, consumer products, dermatological beauty, and professional divisions in one of the world’s fastest-growing beauty markets
