To mark its 50th anniversary, Emami, one of India’s biggest FMCG companies, has released a new corporate brand identity. This rebranding is a big step in Emami’s growth, from a small Indian company that makes consumer goods to a global business. It shows how much the company values its history, its entrepreneurial roots, and the visionary spirit of its founders, RS Agarwal and RS Goenka.
Changing the way things look is at the heart of Emami’s new identity. The famous ellipse has changed into a moving sphere, which shows how the company is growing around the world, how flexible it is, and how ready it is for the future. The new logo has a stylised “e” in the middle, which stands for the brand’s focus on constantly reinventing itself, coming up with new ideas, and making steady progress over the course of five decades. Emami has also decided to keep its signature colour scheme, which will help people remember the brand for a long time, even as it updates its look. The new wordmark uses a more elegant font that suggests confidence, boldness, and flexibility—three important traits that reflect Emami’s goals for the future.
Emami’s approach to its many businesses is one thing that makes this rebranding stand out. Each Emami business will use its own modern typeface and colour, which will come from the central sphere of the new logo. This change lets each part have its own look and feel, while still keeping a sense of unity and connection to the group’s core values and visual language.
Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Harsha Vardhan Agarwal, emphasized that the new identity reflects Emami’s journey—“an organization rooted in heritage but powered by innovation, diversification, and a global outlook.” He expressed optimism that the refreshed identity will help Emami strengthen market positions and build stronger relationships with consumers and partners, affirming the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, value-driven, and innovative offerings
The rollout of this new corporate identity is expected to be completed across Emami’s business entities over the next few months, signaling a new era that balances legacy with a bold vision for future growth and global relevance
