Chinmayee Rout has been named Business Manager – Integrated Media Planning at EssenceMediacom India. In her new role, Rout will lead media planning for the Google India business. She will work on full-funnel strategy and planning for digital and offline platforms. This includes Google Gemini campaigns across OOH, TV, print and digital channels such as Google Ads, DV360, Meta and third-party channels.
Before joining EssenceMediacom, Rout spent over two years at WPP Media. She started there in May 2024 as an intern in digital media planning. By November 2025, she had been promoted to Senior Executive – Business Media Planning. At WPP Media, she worked on some of the world’s biggest advertisers. Her client roster included The Coca-Cola Company, Google APAC and Google Gemini. She handled media planning, budget allocation and performance tracking for these accounts. This experience makes her a strong fit for EssenceMediacom, which operates across omnichannel media.
EssenceMediacom is part of the WPP Media network. It is one of India’s leading media agencies. The agency works with major brands across sectors including technology, FMCG, finance and lifestyle. It offers capabilities in media planning, programmatic buying, social media, search and data analytics. As Business Manager – Integrated Media Planning, Rout will be responsible for driving media strategy for Google India. She will also work closely with creative, analytics and client teams to ensure integrated campaign delivery.
For Rout, the move is a step up in responsibility. She will now lead larger mandates and handle more complex planning. She will also represent EssenceMediacom with clients and industry forums. Her focus will be on building long-term partnerships, not just executing campaigns. If she can link media strategy to business outcomes, she can help the agency win more mandates and retain existing clients. For EssenceMediacom, adding an experienced Business Manager strengthens its leadership bench. It also signals that the agency is investing in talent to support its growth plans.
