CheQ, India’s leading credit card management platform, has entered the UPI space with CheQ UPI, a new payments product that lets users transact via UPI using linked bank accounts and RuPay credit cards. Announced on August 25, 2026, the launch marks CheQ’s shift from purely credit tracking and optimisation into everyday digital payments, while leaning heavily on rewards to differentiate itself in a crowded UPI market.
CheQ UPI allows users to scan any UPI QR code across India’s merchant network and pay using a RuPay credit card, while earning rewards that can be redeemed for travel bookings, gift cards, bill payments and credit card bill offsets within the CheQ app. For CheQ AU RuPay Credit Card holders, the platform offers 2.5% rewards on all RuPay credit card UPI transactions, 12% rewards on CheQ Travel, Amazon, Flipkart, Zomato and BigBasket, and 5% rewards across 10,000+ other merchants in travel, dining, online shopping and grocery. For all other RuPay credit card users, CheQ UPI provides an additional 1.5% rewards on top of existing bank rewards, positioning itself as “the most rewarding RuPay UPI platform available today”.
“CheQ started with a simple ambition: to help people get more out of their credit. With CheQ UPI, we’re taking that ambition into something Indians do multiple times everyday payments. CheQ UPI brings together the scale and simplicity of UPI with CheQ’s deep understanding of credit card users.”
Aditya Soni, Founder & CEO, CheQ
The product is designed to unite everyday payments, RuPay credit card usage, credit management and rewards into a single, connected experience, deepening engagement within the CheQ ecosystem. By focusing on RuPay credit card users a segment that has grown rapidly but remains under-served in rewards-led UPI CheQ aims to convert high-frequency UPI transactions into a loyalty and revenue engine, while giving users a clear reason to choose CheQ UPI over generic PSP apps.
