Priya Chandni has joined Bharti AXA Life Insurance as Head – Brand Management & PR. She brings more than 18 years of experience across the insurance, banking, and marketing industries.
Before joining Bharti AXA, Chandni was working with Generali Central Insurance. She held the role of Head – Brand, Marketing & Digital at the company, and she also carried the title of Associate Vice President. She had been with Generali Central Insurance since August 2020, spending over five years there and shaping the brand’s image in a highly competitive market.
Chandni’s career shows a steady rise across the banking, insurance, and marketing world. Before her stint at Generali Central Insurance, she worked at IDFC First Bank. She joined the bank in September 2015 as Chief Manager – Marketing. Later, she was promoted to Assistant Vice President in April 2019, where she led marketing efforts for the bank’s retail liabilities business. She spent close to five years at IDFC First Bank in total.
Her earlier career included time at well-known names in India’s advertising and retail sectors. She worked as Senior Marketing Manager at Gitanjali Gems from 2012 to 2015. Before that, she spent time in advertising agencies. She was Associate Account Director at TBWA India between 2010 and 2012, and she started her agency career at Euro RSCG India as a P1 Lead from 2007 to 2010. This mix of agency and client-side experience has given her a well-rounded understanding of brand communication.
On the education front, Chandni has built a strong academic base to support her marketing career. She completed a PG Certification in Digital Marketing & Communication from MICA, done in collaboration with upGrad, between 2020 and 2021. Earlier, she also did a Diploma in Visual Merchandising from the National Institute of Fashion Technology. Her foundational qualifications include a PGDBM in Marketing from M.E.T and a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Media Advertising.
In her new role at Bharti AXA Life Insurance, Chandni is expected to lead the company’s brand strategy and public relations efforts. Given her strong background in insurance marketing, especially her recent years at Generali Central Insurance, she is well placed to strengthen Bharti AXA’s brand presence and communication strategy in India’s competitive life insurance market.
