Wippi, a Bengaluru-based children’s technology company focused on screen-free conversational experiences, has launched #MyFirstFriend, a Raksha Bandhan campaign celebrating the unique bond between siblings. The campaign, timed ahead of Rakhi 2026, positions siblings as children’s first friends and playmates people who share early memories, playful disagreements, and everyday moments that shape lifelong relationships.
The campaign film brings this concept to life through a playful exchange between two young siblings. From trying to get each other’s attention to making each other laugh and competitively vying to be the favorite, the narrative captures the innocent banter and familiar interactions that define siblinghood. These small moments arguing over toys, teasing, and reconciling form the foundation of a bond that grows stronger with time.
Siddhartha Jain, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Wippi, said, “Siblings have a very special place in childhood. They are often our first friends, our first playmates, and the people we grow up alongside. With #MyFirstFriend, we wanted to capture that relationship in a way that feels simple, playful, and familiar. The little moments between siblings often become some of the memories we carry with us, and Rakhi is a wonderful occasion to celebrate that bond.”
Beyond emotional storytelling, the campaign positions Wippi as a screen-free gifting option for Rakhi an alternative to conventional toys and digital devices. The product, designed for young children, offers conversational, interactive experiences without exposing kids to screens, aligning with growing parental concerns about digital consumption among early learners.
As part of the Rakhi promotion, Wippi is offering a 20% discount from August 21 to 28, reducing the product price from ₹8,199 to ₹6,499. The device is available through Wippi’s website, Amazon, and Flipkart, making it accessible for last-minute festive shoppers seeking meaningful sibling gifts.
