Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been appointed as the official Digital Transformation Partner of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL) under a multi-year agreement, marking the IT giant’s entry into cricket at the league level. The partnership will develop an AI-powered digital ecosystem for Europe’s first International Cricket Council-sanctioned franchise T20 competition, ahead of its inaugural season kicking off on August 26, 2026.
The collaboration focuses on deploying artificial intelligence, data analytics, and emerging technologies to enhance fan engagement, streamline ticketing operations, elevate live match experiences, and deliver personalized content across digital platforms. TCS will work with ETPL to build year-round digital communities around the competition while unlocking new commercial opportunities for sponsors, players, and other stakeholders through data-driven insights.
Beyond spectator experiences, the partnership will explore technology applications supporting player development programs, grassroots cricket initiatives, and the league’s broader commercial growth strategy. This holistic approach positions digital innovation as a catalyst for both sporting excellence and sustainable business expansion across European cricket markets.
Girish Ramachandran, President and Chief Operating Officer at TCS, emphasized the strategic significance: “The European T20 Premier League represents a bold vision for cricket in Europe. We are excited to partner with ETPL to bring technology to the heart of the game, creating immersive experiences for fans and new opportunities for the league’s growth.” The statement underscores TCS’s commitment to leveraging its global technology expertise for sports entertainment transformation.
The announcement follows TCS’s recent sports technology partnerships, including a digital transformation deal with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, demonstrating the company’s expanding footprint in connecting fan experiences, club operations, and performance intelligence through integrated digital ecosystems.
