Brand marketing leader Nikhil Kant has joined Meta in a consumer marketing role, based out of Gurugram, Haryana. Kant announced the move on LinkedIn with a brief post stating: “New job. Meta. Consumer Marketing,” describing the shift as a “homecoming” to the world of large-scale consumer tech platforms.
Kant arrives at Meta after nearly two years at FlixBus (Flix), where he served as India Team Lead – Marketing and Sales, overseeing brand, social media, content, sales and both online and offline distribution for the bus operator in the country. Before FlixBus, he built a reputation in digital and brand marketing through stints at companies such as Even, Uber and Uber Eats, where he led social media and digital content for India and South Asia, and earlier in agency roles working on brands like Coca‑Cola, Sony and Reckitt Benckiser.
With over 15 years of experience in creating and executing digital, content and brand strategies across multiple industries, Kant is expected to strengthen Meta’s consumer marketing function as the company continues to expand engagement across its portfolio of platforms and products, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and emerging AI-driven experiences. His background in performance-oriented brand building, social storytelling and integrated marketing aligns with Meta’s ongoing push to deepen everyday usage and creator adoption in India, one of its largest and most strategic markets.
The appointment comes at a time when Meta is doubling down on performance marketing, short-form video, commerce integrations and AI tools for users and advertisers, making Kant’s expertise in consumer tech branding and growth marketing particularly relevant for its next phase of expansion in India.
