Apple becomes Formula 1’s exclusive U.S. broadcast partner in a five-year deal, bringing all races to Apple TV starting in the 2026 F1 season.
Apple is set to be the exclusive broadcaster for Formula 1 in the United States for the 2026 season. The exclusive five-year deal is estimated to be worth $750 million. Apple TV will be the exclusive broadcaster for all live races, practice sessions, qualifying rounds, and Sprint events. This will also signify the end of ESPN’s US broadcasting, reigned since 2018,, which ends in 2025.
This is the first partnership that Apple has made in live sports streaming. Apple TV customers will have F1 coverage, and F1 fans will be able to watch selected races and practice sessions for free. Apple will be able to include F1 content in Apple News, Music, Maps, the Apple Sports app, and other services, and will offer real-time interactive race updates.
This collaboration is built off of the success of Apple’s F1: The Movie, which grossed over $629 million globally and exemplified Apple’s interest in motorsport storytelling. The collaboration is seen as an integration of technology, entertainment, and sport, aimed to bolster F1’s already rapidly growing fanbase in the US along with Apple’s aspirations for digital premium broadcasting.
