Lakshay Gupta has been appointed Head of Distribution and Strategic Alliances at Bajaj Alternate Investment Management Limited. The move follows his role leading business development for alternate investments at ICICI Prudential AMC.
Gupta brings more than a decade of experience across banking, asset management and investment distribution. His background includes working with private banks, wealth managers, national distributors and independent advisers to reach high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth investors.

He joined ICICI Prudential AMC in March 2024. His responsibilities covered product ideation, execution, launches and distribution of portfolio management services (PMS) and alternative investment funds (AIFs). His experience spans listed equities, private credit, unlisted equities and real estate.
Before that, Gupta spent more than five years at Mirae Asset Investment Managers India. He joined as Business Development Manager in October 2018 and became Senior Business Development Manager in January 2021, continuing until February 2024.
Earlier, he worked at ICICI Bank, progressing from Manager to Senior Manager. His responsibilities included financial planning for high-net-worth individuals, with a focus on life insurance and mutual funds.
Bajaj Alternate Investment Management Limited, also known as Bajaj Alts, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bajaj Finserv. Its stated investment focus includes real estate, private equity and listed equity, alongside long-short and quantitative strategies.
His combination of investment-product knowledge and distribution experience provides relevant context for the new leadership role.
